Congratulations to the following HT alumni for their recent musical success:
Symphonic band members - Jarrett Tidwell, Gabriel Williams and Wind Ensemble members – Markus Bradford, Kevin Brooks, Summer McCloud, and Chandler Perry. These outstanding musicians are part of the St. John’s College High School music program that received recognition at the recent Washington Archdiocesan Music Teacher’s Council. The wind ensemble received a one rating and the symphonic band earned a two rating.
Our alumni continue to flourish academically after they leave Holy Trinity. Congratulations to the following students. We are proud of your efforts.
Jonathan Mason (2004)
HT alumni heads for Harvard! We are proud to announce that Jonathan Mason (HT, 2004) will be attending Harvard University. Despite heavy football recruiting efforts from SEC, Connecticut, Vanderbilt, Army, Ohio and Eastern Michigan, Jonathan decided to go in a different direction. "I committed to Harvard…," he said. "My decision came down to a little more than football. I think by going there it'll set me up for the rest of my life."
According to Dr. McMahon (DeMatha), Jonathan not only represented DeMatha well during his tenure with the School, but that he was also a fine representative of Holy Trinity, where Dr. McMahon says, “Jonathan established his roots.”
Samantha Brasel (2004)
Eleanor Roosevelt High School, has been recognized has a 2007 National Merit Commended Scholar.
Lena Smoot (2004)
Eleanor Roosevelt High School, has been recognized as a 2007-2008 National Achievement Semi-finalist Scholar and also received an Honorable Mention for Academic Achievement from the Maryland Distinguished Scholars Program.
Marc Mendoza (2004)
DeMatha High School, received an Honorable Mention for Talent Achievement (Instrumental Music) from the Maryland Distinguished Scholars Program.
Kellen Smith (2003)
DeMatha High School, was named an AP Scholar with Honor.
